Norton
Sad but apparently true...
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-51303905
Struggling Norton Motorcycles might have hit the buffers.
Seems like another old friend has gone.
Apparently Norton owes 300k tax. Small beer when you consider golden goodbyes for UK MEPs alone amounts to eur6m.

I know that the source of funds is different in each case but I doubt that workers for Norton will get much of a golden goodbye.
It reminds me of when Triumph Motorcycles at Meriden went bankrupt in 1983. If I remember correctly, the government refused to support Triumph who needed 500k to keep afloat. But contrary to Labour doomsayers of the time, it lives on.

Re: Norton
That is sad news. My first bike was a Norton Jubilee.
Can only hope that someone buys them out.
