That sounds wise, too often the anonymity (perceived) of the internet turns people into dingbats (myself included of course )

Assuming the OP post is genuine and representative, then even she knows that no it is not "normal" as in it is dysfunctional. But she already knew that.
If it is true, my condolences. I would look at your life options (which you are already doing) and also try to document the situation, or witnesses, evidence etc as necessary. I didn't realise Switzerland had such backward work practices.
Best wishes,
f.

I have been quite fortunate that I have been able to walk out of one job into another, but even if that was not the case I would still be walking out the door if I was in an environment like that.

You have one life and its not worth putting yourself through hell for a job

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your comments. I would have loved to have walked out the door but as there is a recession in Europe I can't do it until I find something else, I have a mortgage to pay.

I would still like to stay in Switzerland if I find another job but if I don't I will give Canada a go.

I am trying everything to get out of the job I am in.

The boss is sick and gets off on abusing people and higher management talk to her about the ill-treatment of employees and to stop but they should be sacking her.

Have a good weekend,
Louise

When does your PR run out? Do you have time to stay in Switzerland? Why did you apply for PR if you don't intend to use it?

My PR runs out in March 2014 so I am planning on going in January 2014. I am in the process of selling my apartment. The reason I applied for the PR is that I have lots of friends in Canada. They told me to come to Canada if I did not find another job in Switzerland.

I am bored with Switzerland for some time now so maybe this is the shove I need to move on!

If your PR runs out in 2014 then surely you won't have done the time required to keep your status. Therefore you could either get refused entry or get kicked out when it runs out

No I know the rules. I got my PR in March 2011. I have up to March 2014 to get to Canada. I plan to move in January 2014.
