No more hotpots.
The actress who played barmaid Betty has died at the age of 91. Not sure if she ever came to Canada. But its a sad day all around, not only on the Street, as her acerbic folksy observations often lent a wonderful existential perspective to the melodramatic chaos on the programme. Although she'll probably be best remembered for her signature dish, Betty's Hotpot. She'll be missed.

I for one think she will be missed and think its amazing anyone is still working till their 91 as she did!
