One reason I don't recall hearing that when I was a kid was probably because this was being played over and over on the radio. I think until Mariah Carey's belated hit this year, it was the last Christmas song to make #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. I'm almost sure my sisters got hula hoops around the same time.

This is quite like Christmas though. Cloistered inside your place, eating crap food, drinking too much, watching too much tv and Youtube and your "loved ones" starting to smell like stilton and pork pies.
