Default New Google logo

Its not that new, about a week old now, but any views on the new Google logo? More of change of typeface, really, but I preferred the previous one. This one looks more rounded and infant like. Also noticed a multicoloured G popping up in the search bar. Ironic that Google have gradually been appropriating the colours Microsoft Windows used to use.

Makes me think of those stencils we used at school (many) years ago.

I just wish they'd take that damn box away from google maps.

It's very handy for distances and routes but it's not very handy when all you want to do is look at a map and not have a box obscuring part of it.

I certainly won't ever be using them again! If they don't care enough to consult me about my font preferences , then it's no more than they deserve! I'll show them!!!

(If I knew how to do it this would be in green ink)

Google's search jumped the shark years ago, and Android is becoming a security nightmare. Rebuilding their web site to make it look like it's designed for toddlers doesn't surprise me at all.

I don't really care and I didn't even notice it was changed for about 3 days when I saw a news article on it, so shows how much I paid attention to the logo.

It spurred a good conversation with my bf about the differences between serif & sans serif fonts... Which made me feel very smart.

What does that mean? Google's search has become lame? Only, I dont believe it has.

I love that shark expression, but never know quite how to use it...
