she is a Chow Chow and this was taken last night after her big day coming home. She is 6.5kg (14lbs), she 10 weeks old. She is booked to show at the Red Deer Dog show the 1st week in April, we've got to hope her tail goes back to where it should be after her littermates hurt her. I am completely smitten.

She's gorgeous!!
But it takes me back many many years to when I was about 13 or so .............. my parents were interested in buying a boarding house in Scarborough, and it would have come with a full grown black Chow as the sellers didn't want to take it (can't remember whether male or female).
I would have loved to have that dog, but they didn't buy the house.

Re: New Family Member
When I lived in Edmonton the house we rented had the same sort of pillar, went from roof to basement, but the furnace blocked it in the basement, it was an old house 1910-1915 era so i assume the pillar was a chimney or something for whatever is was they used back then for heat? I dunno wasn't a fireplace, but the 2005 era furnace blocked it in the basement so I could never get a good look, but it was smack in the middle of the living room on the upper floor.

Thanks all. She slept through the night, after a small protest at being jailed. So lucky!
