Default New Canadian Band....

Hi Folks,

We just got the new CD from a new Canadian band called "8ight Past Nine" Its got some really good tracks on it, I predict they are going to do very well in the future.

If you want you can listen to some of their music at the following link, you might enjoy it. (hope the link works OK)

Cheers,

Kev

mmm - my cup of tea, I think Reminds me of lots of other artists combined - which on paper looks pretty awful !!

Track 1 - Guster
Track 2 & 8 - Rob Thomas
Track 4 & 9 - Robbie Williams
Track 5 - Cat Stevens (!)

However, worth a second listen, I reckon.

Ta !

I can see why they're called 8ight passed nine, you'd only listen to it after that. A bit too laid back for me, but ok in parts.

If it's too middle of the road for you, it sounds like it might just up my alley.

I'll have to have a listen.

Edit: I listened...I can take it or leave it, not really my cup of tea.

... I am more partial to a bit of Nickelback - I know, everyone on here hates them. Try and look past the soppy singles!

No not middle of the road enough.

You must remember I'm an old fart add to that I was born 20 years too late.

My preference in music is 40's big band music or fifties and early sixties pop.

You know songs were you can understand the words.

Well at least they were clear enough for you to understand them.

I listen to that kind of stuff too Steve along with a lot of other stuff that you might call 'noise' . My dad ( an older fart than you ) always had music playing. I know probably every Ink Spots tune... love them.

But what did it mean ????
"There she was, just walking down the street, singing Doohwah diddy diddy dum diddy doo"
"Snapping her fingers and clicking her heals, singing Doohwah diddy diddy dum diddy doo"
"SHE LOOKS GOOD,she looks good,SHE LOOKS FINE,she looks fine, wedding bells are going to chime"
Now what sane man would marry a woman that walks arround singing
Doohwah diddy diddy dum diddy doo
