Myths you believed as a child...
As kids, we're all told things that may not be quite true, guess our parents used them to keep us in line Then again, some things may have been based on truth.
Here are some things I was told as a kid:
What were some of the things your were told and believed (or still do)?
Here are some things I was told as a kid:
- Eating raw potatoes will give you worms
- If you make a face by pulling the corners of your mouth and sticking tongue out, your face will stay like that!
- Play with matches and you'll pee the bed
- Tickle a babies feet and they'll stutter
What were some of the things your were told and believed (or still do)?

Roll your eyes and they'll eventually stay that way.

Jesus was god, and died for our sins.
Eat an apple seed and an apple will grow inside you.
Swallowing chewing gum and it will stick to your heart.

Boys are born under cabbages, and girls under rose bushes.
I worried quite actively for hours about swallowing an apple pip, convinced I could feel the tree growing

My Dad was told by his Dad that you put salt on your food by putting your finger over the top of the salt pot when you pour it !
I was brought up with the, 'square eyes' threat and, 'if the wind changes direction your face will stay like that'.
