Might seem a funny thing to say but being a UK civil servant in a department subject to some pretty intense budgetary cuts, I hope a certain offer comes my way pretty soon. A nice pay off after 20 years service will put some cash in the bank to come over with.....

Quick update: after 10 days of unemployment got a short term contract at higher pay. Will get me through the xmas period at least and give time to find a more perm. job, hopefully.
