South Wales, hasn't changed, just more shops closed down. My lovely children hadn't changed, but my grandchildren had grown too much  My mother looked a little smaller :(

We only went for 11 days and it was very tiring fitting it all in, didn't get to see everyone but it was more important to be with my immediate family.

Would I return to live - no way.

Glad you enjoyed yourself

Ahh... the M4 doesn't really compare to Lumsden hill, sure it doesn't??...lol

I enjoyed reading your post, YCD. It made me feel quite weepy :o
We've not been back since 1997. I just fancy some fish & chips or
a bacon buttie.:) Thanks for a great read.

Welcome 'home' Y-c-d. I relate to so much of what you experienced.. My first time back home was alone too, but not for ten years after coming here. (Sadly, it was for my Dad's funeral :( )
The changes were huge in that time and I felt like a stranger in my own home town, there was so much to re-learn.

LOL absolutely! My teenage daughter, who has never lived in the UK, came back from there in 2007 hooked on Bacon Sarnies, and can't wait to go back for more. :D
