Good luck James, I'm sure your parents will be happy for you. I left my 80 year old mother and children behind and they were and still are very supportive.

Like you I'm 35, and arrived in Canada not so long ago on my own.
I'm loving it so far, and I got work quickly too, although I'm lookiing for a new job at the moment.....
I bed it's cold there, it's getting cold here in Van and we're meant to be the warmest city!!!!

your right my parents have been supportive and they will be able to have holidays in canada i think there proud that im doing something different to what most people do.
Bandit ive followed your story over the last few months ive just noticed you have posted a thread about a possible new job sadly it wasnt to be
keep your chin up something else will turn up, hopefully i have a plan b in place if my job doesnt work out, as for missing family and friends webcam will be set up straight away but hopefully i will make plenty of new friends and quickly, i will update once im there take care
