My Nan
#16
My English Nan (born in Norfolk) who I was only introduced to once and have no recollection of, she and Grandpa died in 60 - 61 and I was deemed too young to go to funerals. She had 9 kids! Aunt Madeline told me that when dad ran away from home when he was 16 they didn't call the cops for a year. She said that in those days it was "bad form" to have the cops after you.

Me neither.
Though my mum and dad did adopt a tough old bird from Wimbledon! She was their landlady in the early 60's. They arrived from Northern Ireland to all the "no blacks, no Irish" signs, and she took them in. She was my pretend nan. A real star, with an amazing house, full of a million ornaments. I loved going to visit her. We had chocolate mini rolls.
