I'm putting music on my iPod ready for my trip Home on Sunday......going for a month and I want my music with me, but there are some pieces that reduce me to tears of homesickness, and I just can't listen. "The Gadfly" by Shostakovitch does it to me, so I haven't played it now for over 3 years.
There are some pieces that just don't "fit" here - can't explain it, but the atmosphere is all wrong, so I give them a miss too.
Anyone else find this? What music makes you think of home?
