I expect most other people thought you were just anti-jumper.

Thanks Shaky. I can continue watching! I think I caught a swear in one of the episodes and thought, WTF! The quality of the graphics is really high, almost seems like a film.

Also re-watching the original series (as my kid has decided Star Trek without Spock is not Star Trek). It's quite cool to see certain bits of tech that did and did not make it. For example, there's an electronic clipboard which is a bit like a bulky iPad! Also, funny how in the 24th century they've cracked light speed, but still need to push a button every time they speak on an intercom. Nevertheless, it's all good. Amazing that it is now 50 years old!

Yeah I think the predictions of technology are great in star trek but probably way off for the 24th century considering so much of the tech we have now!

I love the quality of the cgi, I've seen some films recently with cgi that isn't that good!

I watched 'Hunt for the wilderpeople'

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hunt_for_the_wilderpeople/

Took awhile for me to watch it as I wasn't sure if it was my thing but I loved it. It's on UK and Canadian Netflix. Great film.

Murder On The Orient Express

Probably important not to remember a damn thing about a previous version or the book.

Great scenery and not bad movie.

If you don't mind subtitles, this Spanish movie is excellent. If you like movies with twists you will love this.

Contratiempo (2016) - IMDb

It's on Netflix.

Never had a problem with subtitles and my stepson has such a loud vice - and a habit of shouting at characters in what he's watching in the other room - that it very often prevents me hearing what I'm watching even under headphones! :frown:

So subtitles actually have an advantage for me.

Will take a look. The Body - linked on the IMDB page - may be worth a look too.

Yeah I have seen the body, it's another classic twist movie that l really enjoyed. The only thing with Spanish movies is you have to read bloody fast as the subtitles just fly by.

Never noticed that with Almodóvar or Luna. Perhaps I'll take something performance enhancing.

Dunkirk. Seems to be measured (non-sensationalised) and honest depiction of the event. Excellent music. It was different from what I was expecting. Plus I know what that famous line "We shall fight on the seas and oceans..." from the Supertramp song refers to. (;))

I couldn't get Rudolf Abel saying "will it help" out of my mind while watching.

(Mark Rylance in the excellent Bridge Of Spies)

Whoosh, whoosh...

No worries. I'm not that au fait with all the movie references these days.
