Moose milk

We have been invited to a friends house for Moose milk
what is it ? besides the obvious
( they are Canadians over here ) so not sure there are many Moose to milk
Also whats traditional to take to there house to celebrate with that ?

I'd never heard of it - the google searches seem to imply its some sort of military inspired drink. Souvy might know more.

Not sure what traditionally goes with it, but you could always try starting your own tradition and take some mince pies - they go really well together.

ex-CF friends of ours introduced us to it last Christmas. Vicious stuff - or at least the way we knocked it back. It's not dissimilar to eggnog. I think the ingredients are something like: rum (plenty of it), kahlua, vodka (optional), milk, raw egg (also optional), vanilla icecream, nutmeg.
Not sure what traditionally goes with it, but you could always try starting your own tradition and take some mince pies - they go really well together.

Yes. It's an airforce tradition. Recipes vary. I think the one we got served to us at The High Commission was essentially a lethal ice cream shake. People get bladdered on it because the taste disguises the potency (like Pimms and Long Island Iced Tea).
