Cool

One of the great things about living away from town.... no street lights. Heres a blury one of the moon taken hand held through my cheapo telescope. Its amazing to be able to see Jupiter and its moons clearly and zoom in on craters on the moon...Jupiter is the bright "star" thats between the moon and the horizon at the moment

A big two thumbs up from the peanut gallery.

I like Iain's too, now I want a telescope and a camera mount.

Cool! It actually doesn't look blurry at all if you just look at the thumbnail!

You obviously don't know how to ask nicely.

They were ever so accommodating for me.

Cheers
Steve

I think I recognise that shot and I'm insanely jealous that you have it.

We visited the Grand Canyon just a few years ago I took hundreds of pictures and never got one of them. The memory card was brand new and it was defective it indicated pictures were being stored but they were impossible to retrieve.

Hi Steve. I have hundreds, if not thousands of shots of the Grand Canyon. It's been my favorite place for years. I go as often as I can. That and southern Utah which has Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, The Grand Staircase and Vermillion Cliffs. If you want some I'm happy to share. Here's one of the canyon from the air. I also have lots taken from down on the river. Pretty spectacular stuff. The avatar is me shooting the dreaded Lava Falls or Vulcan Falls at mile 180 on the Colorado River in the GC. The rapids are in two parts, the first is a class10 one and drops 13 feet, the second part is not so difficult but drops about 14 feet. One heck of a ride. Sadly they only allow you one river ride a year. I have to wait until next September for my next one.

Simon you're too kind but I must refuse.

"I" wouldn't have taken them, I think you will understand.

Besides it's a great excuse to go back which we do plan on doing sometime in the not too distant future.
