Winter is going to be a pain in the arse mucking around with thick winter gloves trying to put a mask and toque on. I can't even zip up my jacket in gloves let alone put a mask on.
1st world problems eh?

Attach the mask to your toque then you can just pull the mask down onto your face and not have to worry about tying stuff or looping it around cold ears :)

I've looped the ear loops through the velcro section ( at the back) of a baseball cap to be able to wear a mask as I can't wear them around my ears.. :D

I grew up in the UK where it's cold. Face coverings, mainly scarves, were a common place, something primary school kids could deal with. I'm sure you will be ok.

I just don't wear face coverings or gloves in winter, unless spending an extended time outside, but even in snow and -5 or -8 at the airport, I still didn't wear face covering or gloves, just a toque. So I don't see any issue for me in winter.

I think you would find BC winters considerably colder than the UK........

February 10, 2019 - The low in Kamloops this morning hit -20.6c according to the Kamloops Airport,
For those of us who live further East it gets considerably colder than that too! - :D

There were days in winter in Edmonton and when I lived in Ontario where the inside of my freezer was warmer than it was outside....

Is there no end to your talents? I'll bet you can even put cap and mask on while attached to each other.

LOL - I keep them attached together at all times (I've never worn a baseball cap before either, lol) - I just slip the cap on and pull the mask down -- needs must and 'necessity is the mother of invention' :D

This reminded me of something from when I was bartending happy hour back in the 80's; Nigel said he was thinking of asking his girlfriend's opinion on using a mask... but he wanted her to wear a Mariah Carey mask... may not have been a good idea.

It's not my cup of tea, but sex while wearing a mask isn't a new idea.

The local Wal-Mart seems to have given up on making people wear masks, saw more people today without masks than with masks on.

That's really too bad. I saw 4 or 5 people in Regina without today (in Superstore and Wholesale Club) and they were almost all elderly. It should get better with time; people who are resisting because of misguided beliefs or sheer bloody-mindedness will eventually (for the most part) just start to smarten up.
Edit: A couple of days ago in Giant Tiger I saw a young couple with 3 small children at the checkout, and no masks. I suppose the odds are in their favour if you're wanting to bet, but it seemed a bit careless to me. GT offers masks at the door.

Went to Winners in Penticton, first time in ages and certainly since requiring masks. Person on door keeping check on numbers didn't mention masks, sign on door was not that big and lots without them. Clearly not following through with their mandate so why bother in the first place?

I think its PR mostly on the part of the companies, none seem to be really enforcing their mask rule. Wal-Mart at least in West Kelowna did for a short time, even handing them out at the door, but people were giving the door people a hard time, tonight no masks at the door being handed out, and more people inside the store without a mask, but at least all the employees I saw had masks on.

Superstore last Saturday in Kelowna had nobody at the door enforcing the mask rule, I'd say it was about 70/30 there with 70% wearing masks.

Only other store I have been to recently it Petsmart and they don't require masks as far as I know.
