Marching on ....

Triumphant!
On November 5th I was competing in the Sweet Adelines Harmony Classic competition with my chorus, Rhythm of the Rockies. It was our first time qualifying for International, and we were so excited to be there competing with "the big girls", but never expected to do as well as we did: we WON! Gold medals all around!
Last Monday I started on my gradual return to work plan!
It is a year (today) since my first surgery, and although in some ways I feel I have lost a year of my life, in some strange ways it has been a most incredible year!
Just wanted to thank all my friends on here, even though I don't post much these days, for all the love and support I have had through some difficult times. Treatment is all done now, and although I have follow up appointments and tests to come, we travel on hopefully! xxx

Congratulations Rose! Both on the gold medal and coming out the other side in your battle with cancer!!
I'm not surprised to her Rhythm of the Rockies did so well, having heard you guys a number of times I know how good you all sound.
Here's to many more years of good health :drink wine:

Gold medal - bloody well done!!
And as for the last year - you've done awesome (as the Canadians would say)!
Cheers.

A big well done from me too. I too think the photo is super. Did you sing before you came to Canada, or did you start when you got here?
