Hi All,
Does anyone know if Magners Cider is available on tap anywhere in Ontario? I know it's available on cans at the LCBO. Strongbow you see here and there, just not the Magners.
Cheers
Peter

What is the thing with Magners cider anyway? I never heard of it when I was in the UK, but now it's everywhere being sold as though it was a great english tradition. Perhaps I just never noticed it before?
Is it good?

You don't generally get it on tap in the UK. You get handed a bottle and a pint glass with a lot of ice in it. Bottle goes into glass, pint glass is full.

Why would anybody drink cider in a glass that has ice in it....oh yeah, I forgot some people find that Corona is a quality drink (the only beer I know that needs a wedge of lime in it to give it some taste)....sounds like a massive marketing scheme/scam to me.

I actually drink it like there is no tomorrow these days. Would never have dreamed of drinking cider up until about a year ago, find it very refreshing, less harmful on the wasteline, less pain to the head the next morning and goes down easier than loads of beer. Never seen it on tap in the UK and since i have only been here a day the run to LCBO this morning didn't contain massive amounts of it, although they seen to have plenty in there.

I believe that it was that I was drinking that particular beverage at the J.P.Fitzpatrick pub in good olde Whitby!! Whether or not it was on tap is hard to remember due to the vast quantities consumed.

When I was there on my honeymoon I was introduced to it; they had the pint bottles with a glass with ice. I don't really care if it has ice or not, just the taste of one or a Strongbow to me is better than a barley sandwich.....

Hi there all you thirsty Magners drinkers,
There is a new Irish pub on Water street in Port Perry that sells it on draught, its just South of the vehicle licensing office- forgot the name sorry but its easy to spot- its not the other Irish bar "The Antrim" just up the road.
There is another new Irish bar in Whitby Centrium that also sells it- the Bar is near the cinema entrance.
