Today I'm having a late lunch of burnt clam chowder and a rather sad excuse for a ham sandwich. :frown:

I had a BLT sandwich from my new local coffee shop. It's only 10 miles from my house.

Macaroni and Cheese.

It's very popular in Canada so I'm surprised you haven't heard it called Mac and Cheese before. There's also a popular product known as "Kraft Dinner" which includes the macaroni and cheese powder. I can't stand it personally but it's quick and easy I guess compared to making a cheese sauce.

I have the perfect home made version of "KD"! Almost as quick and as good as regular home made Macaroni cheese.

2 Cups Macaroni Elbow Pasta
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup (or more to taste) of grated strong Cheddar cheese

Put all except the cheese into a saucepan and bring to the boil stirring occasionally. Simmer for about 20 mins or until pasta is soft. Then remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Serve! Yummy!

Yesterday for lunch I had a chili cheese hotdog. North America's most important culinary contribution.

With the new job being a mere 10 minute drive to home, I am enjoying something that I've not done before - going home for lunch. It feels rather the guilty pleasure although of course I can still crackberry whilst eating if I so choose.

For lunch, at home today, I had a bowl of my signature roasted-vegetable-plus-what-ever-else-is-on-hand-when-I-make-it soup. Looks like shit. Tastes divine.;) (& healthy to boot)

Today's lunch (at home of course) consisted of Mrs_P's homemade turkey vegetable soup. Mmmmmmmm:wub:

Fresh pineapple chunks and a small slice of Mrs_P's homemade lemon loaf.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I had a cheese and pickle sandwich (again). Proper branston pickle before anyone asks.

A ham and Swiss cheese sandwich, followed by a banana, some grapes and small handful of roasted almonds. Bring on the afternoon.

I miss the Pret a Manger Christmas sandwich: turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, some kind of lettuce, and so much more.
