Lunchtime Choices

Re: Lunchtime Choices
Today I had suasage, egg and chips with lashings of ketchup.
I was going to have a cheese sandwich, but they had some sausages at the supermarket that they were calling "english style" which I hadn't spotted before. I gave them a go, and whilst not being the best sausages ever, they were actually surprisingly good. I shall be buying them again.

I had a very disappointing lunch today, so I might have egg and chips tomorrow just as a treat.

Which shop and how much?
I'll be having a burger and chips, a choice I should have made two weeks ago. Although they never seem to do peas with the burgers over here.
Plus, as everybody seems to have buggered off for the long weekend, I won't be coming back from the pub anytime soon.

I have a fishing friend who works there, I'll get him to pick me up some. I think they'd go nicely with crab and corn.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
Poutine
nachos
Yam fries
Ribs
Chicken wings
Caesar salad (for some reason they think it is healthy here, has more calories than a burger, fries and a mars bar)
Finally,
Perhaps some sweet and sour type dish?

I don't want to oversell them here. I liked them, but if you'd bought them at home you would think they were your typical mid range bangers from asda or something.

I munched on some Spitz down at the ocean... until the seagulls started pestering me.

Well today I'm having sardines fried with a bit of chilli and garlic and mixed in with some spaghetti and parmesan. It's a bit poncy, but I've had sandwiches all week already.

I'm having chicken souvlaki, rice and a nice Greek salad. I had a sandwich from the local hasty market yesterday which was the worst soggy horrible excuse for a sandwich I've seen. There's definitely a gap in the market for posh nice sandwiches to-go in Canada if anyone wants a project.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
I had Subway for almost a month. I was surprised that there are about 3000 people working in this area, but only one subway, one cakes/cookies/tea/coffee shop and an Indian lunch shop. Everybody seems to pack their own lunch. Is that Maritimer's way?
I was fed up with the lunches. Then I thought to roast a chicken and have chicken salad. However, roasting it in the oven triggered the fire alarm. Now I just buy Sobeys ready roasted chicken and salad leaf, add activia yogurt and an apple.
Today I had a homemade pancake wrap with fried veg and chicken. Very nice!
It took me probably an hour and a half to beat eggs, mix flour and make pancake, chop and fried veg and chicken, but it only took 10 minutes to eat!!!

We have an ice cream van that comes around Kitts beach, even plays a jingle.
