I am receipt of the following communication from a poster called john5655. I don't care for this sort of ad hominem attack, especially not by poison pen, or keyboard, letter. Since the originating thread is now closed I offer it here:

I suspect this thread will be closed, with the advice that you take this to PM's.
This is really just another excuse for you to have a go at the police and the people that carry out that role really

Is it me, or aren't there an awful lot of threads being closed these days? I'm not online during working hours at the moment, by the time I log on sometimes it seems the discussion has been shot down already. Just an observation.

IMHO i feel we should be able to have a balance of opinion and not just get cut off when things get a bit heated........after all i thought it was supposed to be a "discussion" forum
If somebody gets "hate mail" then why shouldn't they have the right to bring it up on here ?
If we all had the same opinions then this forum would be very boring indeed !

The only threads that are deleted or closed are those that break rules, or that we get numerous valid complaints about. Simple as that.
