Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
It is not self-seeking, nor easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongdoing.
It does not delight in evil,
But rejoices in the truth.
It always protects, trusts, hopes, and preserves.
There is nothing love cannot face;
There is no limit to its faith, hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things that last forever:
Faith, hope, and love;
But the greatest of them all is love.

HTH

And that will almost certainly be the only time I ever quote from the Bible...cheezy, but that passage is so true

I like that.

If you are meaning love for another person, then.....it's a bit like falling asleep - creeps up on you. You know when you in love after you've got there?

The other day I read an article that described love for another person as a feeling of fusion and oneness.

All I know is that my OH's happiness is more important to me than anything and together we achieve far more than we ever would alone.

He doesn't judge me and encourages me to try new & different things. He stops me hiding under my duvet too much when I'm being wet but doesn't mind when I am tired and just want to stay in bed.

Mainly, I just feel loved and appreciated.....and comfortable.....he is absolutely my best friend in life.

Ok, all a bit slushy but the poor guy has just had to spend his evening in Homebase working out how to do bits of DIY.

You have just described my relationship with my wife.

I know for a fact I don't function well at all without her.

Cheers

I couldn't remember where in the bible that was (to my shame) so googled it ...

....and found this.

...which made me cry as I remember leaving my parents to rejoin my family out here last year.

No, afraid not.

Been together 11 years. He very bravely took me home for the weekend, asked me out and we've been together ever since through thick and thin. I also would be lost without him, HM.

Just realised it will soon be our wedding anniversary - 6 years...took him much longer to propose! With his arm twisted!

Lovely bloke, I could go on, I won't!
