Default Lottery Winnings :-)

I have won so many lotteries that I never entered this week , I am counting my millions. What with a win from the Microsoft lottery and the huge payout from a colleague in Nigeria I have never heard of coming through Fedex, life is going to be a breeze from now on. I must rush to send off my cheque for the miserly few hundred to claim my winnings It is amazing what you can win without even trying. Who needs 649, with so many other generous people and lotteries out there that don't even require you to buy a ticket!

I absolutely hear you , loud and clear. I am fed up with these 419 scammers. Craigslist is a particular hotspot at the moment. I tried to sell my car several times and had all kinds of shady characters wanting to buy it from overseas, offshore drilling platforms, American midwest ....

By the way, you can't have been promised the big Nigerian cheque .. apparently it has my name written all over it ...

I genuinely won 649 this week. It didn't take long to spend the $2 though!

I think some of the things you describe might be scams. Don't send off any money unless you check carefully first.

It's amazing how many people fall for those scams. When I worked at the CHC in London back in the late 90s, we were inundated with complaints about the "Canadian Lottery". It wasn't really Canadian. It just got moved around every time the legal loopholes were closed. It thrived in Canada for a while. Canada Post had to open a separate office just to handle the volume of mail it generated. There wasn't anything we at the CHC could do about t because it wasn't illegal (it probably is now).

The thing that really amazed me is that more than a few people fell for it more than once. I mean, how stupid can you be?

Actually, Oink, they're not all scams. I've checked this out very carefully indeed, and have actually made a lot of money in some of these 'schemes'. There are some genuine opportunities out there, you just need to be careful about which ones you go for.

Like I say, I've done a lot of research on these schemes, and I've prepared a handy little book, "Money For Nothing!" which is available at the bargain price of $25. Make your friends and family rich too, order 4 copies for a bargain $100!! Don't delay, send away today! Guaranteed to make you wiser about these schemes or your money back!* Contact me by PM to order your copy today!

*Absolutely no refunds.

Wow!

I'm in. Where do I send the money? I can give you my bank details, if that's quicker than writing a cheque.

I remember hearing about two great 'legal' scams from years ago. One was someone placed an ad in the newspapers saying something along the lines of 'Secret to having the power to buy all you want and need, send $20 to........" which lots of people did apparently. What they got in return was a peice of paper saying simply 'Get a job'.

The other one was an advert for some sort of sex toy for $20 or so, and when they sent off their cheque, they got a reply saying that sorry the company was now out of stock and they would send a cheque back. The cheque they sent out had 'Super Sex Toy Store' (or some such)stamped on it and very few people had the guts to pay it in to their bank
