Residence Inn Marriott Hotel at king an colbourne

Stayed there for a week when I arrived many years ago, nice clean and reasonable cooking facilities, granted it was just me, and not a family, but it is close to the centre of town, and good for the Bus services.

I believe the Holiday Inn has a place that does the residence thing across the street, I have no info, only the address

Population of 320,00 so relatively small . Nice City but as with most Canadian large populations ,very multi cultural so good choice of shops and restaurants . I have no idea about the schools but there are certainly lots of them and from memory none are bad . South London is more industrial and has more retail and the North seems to have newer housing and a slightly more affluent population if house sizes are anything to go on. We live 40 minutes north west of the city and use regularly for most entertainment.

We live in Ilderton which is 10 mins north of London. I would say the better schools are in the North west area ( Byron ) although I personally would also look at the outlying areas such as Ilderton, Komoka or Kilworth. The communities are very friendly the taxes are half that of London and the schools are very good. We have 3 Girls 3, 5 & 7 and they have settled in like they've been there forever

If you want anymore info or want to meet up during your visit feel free to PM me

Hi Kirsty & David,

We have lived in London for 4 1/2 years and live in Oakridge in the North west of the city. The schools and amineties are good and the people are generally friendly. We love the area we live in and would not move from here.

There is plenty of employment around but it may take you a while to find a fit.

When we fist landed we stayed at the holiday inn which was quite nice.

The housing prices in the city very greatly depending on the area, with the eastside being cheaper.

We could pass on some more info if you would like just let us know what you need.

Good luck,
TLB

Don't let the news about last night's blizzard deter you; so far they aren't reporting any deaths and even though there are reported to be 300 cars stranded on the highway from Sarnia to London many people have been rescued and taken to warm-up centres and the armed forces has a C-130 in the air looking for strays. Hopefully we'll get away with no serious injuries from this one.

Population is 356,000.
I emigrated here 20 years ago from Reading, berkshire.
London has been good to me, I married a local girl 18 years ago!
Been fortunate to always be employed in manufacturing ( Im a manufacturing technician).
London has got more violent the past few years and is definately not as clean as it was 20 years ago.
We live in the NE which has good access to main roads, malls, and downtown etc.
PM me if you want any specific questions answered OK?
good luck!!!

Simon and Cindy.
