Lingerie

Is it just me or is there a complete lack of pretty lingerie in Canada?
I went shopping today for a simple white lacy bra and managed to find thousands of plain looking t shirt bras in every colour of the rainbow, but nothing pretty, girly or even remotely sexy. I've only been here two weeks and I'm missing Debenhams already! Even La Senza here doesn't sell anything pretty. I ended up buying something that I wouldn't even have looked at in the UK as its all there was.
Please tell me I'm looking in the wrong places and there really are some pretty lingerie sets out there somewhere......

Bare Basics is one that I know of. There's another one that recently opened in downtown on Granville:

I got a couple of pretty bras in La Vie en Rose last week, as La Senza was full of rainbow t shirt bras. The bay I think also has a reasonable range.

If you're of normal size, you'll find stuff, as others have pointed out. If you have more than normal boobage than you're SOL. Forturnately Bravissimo delivers to Canada (though it's cheaper to have a UK person send it as 'a gift' - no duty, etc).

Um, I'd have to totally agree with you - I can't find good lingerie in Canada either. I got married in Toronto in June and didn't buy lingerie in the UK and waited until I got to Toronto - huge mistake. I ended up spending a fortune in a little boutique for something that was not as nice as in M&S!
Before I move to Toronto I'm stocking up on some nice stuff!

I think I'll have to resort to online shopping for my smalls. M&S do deliver for £20. Other than that, I'll get it delivered to my mum in the UK who can then forward it to me.

I don't know where you were shopping, but for nice stuff you typically have to go to small boutiques in Vancouver.

Thanks for the link - I'll have to check it out when I go into Vancouver. I tried 'The Bay', 'Sears', 'La Senza' and 'La vie en Rose'.

Delivery is 20 pounds, plus there may be import duty to pay so beware!

From a mans stand point, yes the undies on offer here for the gals are about as sexy and exciting as a kick in the groin
my missus buys exclusivly from la senza ( her best friend is the manageress, ergo gets staff discount) but she looks like an explosion in a paint factory at bed time

Oh be prepared for your bra size to double in the cup size and lower in the band size...they always measure you and their sizes are different to other stores.

Do you have a decent sized 'The Bay' near you? They have a reasonable lingerie department and remind me very much of Debenhams anyway.
