Its looking as though my husband may have to go back to the UK on short notice for a few days for family reasons back home. Any hints or tips on who to fly with on a last minute deal that won't break the bank? He'll be looking at flying from Calgary to either Heathrow or Gatwick.

Best best probably looks like Canadian affair although availability is limited. Theres a Calgary-Gatwick out on 5 Dec, returning on 15 Dec for $735.00 all in. Looks like its double that if you go for AC but then you can pick the dates you want. I imagine BA will be similar to AC.

The cheapest we could find was Air Canada when my husband flew a couple of weeks ago. Toronto Heathrow. We booked Wednesday evening for a Friday morning flight. Cost around $1k including taxes.
