lol
They tip from side to side as they fly. Also their wings are up at the ends making a V shape. An eagle's or osprey's wings are flatter.

I saw 2 big bald eagles last Monday (we are further south of you on the coast , near Bridgewater) and there is another one that "lives" on the property across from us all year, I took this photo from the living room window some time ago, so yes they are around all year.

My vote goes for a young (hence less white) immature bald eagle too - around 40 bald eagles at Sheffield Mills right now, which is only an hour or so from Halifax - the farmers feed them pieces of chicken this time of year to attract people to the area, quite a good couple of hours out to see them all in one place!
We had an adult bald eagle fly over our garden yesterday morning, they are starting to get on the move again. Just love them!
Turkeys left in September, we get a fairly big colony of around 30 near us, I love watching them soar. As people have said, their wings are like open fingers and curl up at the end, they look quite different to the other raptors.
Looking forward to seeing them back around May time, then it means winter is over yay!
And don't get me started on the excitement of the return of the hummers

A bit of both I think.
