Anyone know what happened to Kelseys? We used to have two here. Didn't go there much but they have both closed down and the buildings are empty. The one on the south end was next door to Montanas, and I heard that they were part of the same chain. Someone also told me Swiss Chalet is part of the same chain.
Is it just the Regina Kelseys that have closed or have they all gone bust or something??

I know there was one on the east end and one at Gordon Road - but they are both closed now. All the signs have gone off the outside of the restaurants. I just wondered if they had gone bust all across Canada, but maybe they were franchises and the owners of the Regina locations were unsuccessful.
On a slightly different tangent, there was a piece in the local paper last week about one of the Canadian Tire stores in Regina and how the previous franchise owners had been prosecuted for tax evasion for charging the building of their new home back to the store and not paying tax on some of their income -- something like that. The Canadian Tire store is still there but obviously with new owners.

Ugh, why do you care? There are a ton of Kelsey's around us, we've been about 3 times to different ones (when dragged by visiting family who ignore our recommendations). Every single time they've messed up the order, and on one instance the chicken wings I ordered arrived still frozen in the middle.

Basically upgraded "chum". Probably taken from Donald McRonald's trash-heap.

He's suggesting that I'm talking a load of tripe. True, true . . . splendide mendax.
