Re: Keeping Fit
I do 7km every evening on my exercise bike whilst amongst other things posting on expats because it is so bloody boring - the cycling that is ... Hence the typos (my excuse and I'm stikking to it)
No time nor inclination for the gym, once I have put down my Gladstone bag, taken off my white coat, pin stripe suit., loosened off my Dickie bow, I'm not going out again

Re: Keeping Fit
35 minutes, 3x per week on an elliptical trainer. Don't know how many steps, but it says 530cal burnt almost every time.
Dog walk, 25 mins every day, rain or shine.

Re: Keeping Fit
I have a Fitbit One device and make sure to keep my average step count to 10,000 per day by walking part way to work, walk at lunch time, walk back part way after work - but brisk walking, not strolling. At weekends if I'm behind in my average step count for the week I make up the balance on the treadmill. A flat screen monitor in front of the treadmill connected to a video player / PC and after a movie or two you don't realise how much you've actually achieved.

Make sure you've got it at a good incline otherwise its just your bones moving.

Re: Keeping Fit
The one we have a work may do something similar because think it has a heartbeat monitor and it recognizes my phone but at the moment the only thing I can get it to do is turn on the fan.
I wish the rowing machine had a better display and more fun games because I find that at the moment its very boring.

Re: Keeping Fit
I run a lot. Used the elliptical on Saturday for the first time in ages. My calfs are absolutely killing me. I went a bit nuts on it.
