Just landed, after 5 years of torture!!!
Hi all,
Well after all my posts I have finally landed in Vancouver. Got my sin number today and am now looking for a room, job and a future!! All cry scary but I remain hopeful.......
My first question, as usual my bank has fd up after me thinking that all my uk accounts were sorted so I now need to make an elongated call to them to put matters right. Can anyone give some advice on the cheapest way to call as I've only got a Canadian PAYG phone..
Thanks and good luck to everyone in a similar position

Get to the nearest drug store or Walmart, petrol station and buy a international phone card, they range from $5 up and they work out loads cheaper then trying to use your cell phone. You can use them to call from any phone, just punch in the number on the back and bobs your uncle.

Thanks guys that's great. So pissed off with my bank, just another headache that I don't need. My next headache is trying to fathom out why those who offer accommodation on craigslist asking to you to email never f####ng respond! ;0/

No such thing. Booze is spendy over here. I usually go for the 500ml cans of German or Austrian larger. Stay away from the horrible domestic shit, no matter what a local says, its all crap.
