Its a full flap not a graft, the original graft ( taken from right leg) was replaced with this flap

Thanks so much for your answer. I didn't know that they would use staples to close up a large piece of open flesh. I suppose they have to though to get the skin to knit back together.

OK pedant, it's still a graft, but a free flap rather than a full or split-thickness skin graft.
What they normally do where I work is take a skin graft from elsewhere to cover the place where the free flap was taken from, but I presume you had plenty of spare flesh there (flap donor site) if they were able to close it without grafting. :sneaky::p:thumbup:

Goodness! those are quite the scars. Sorry to hear what happened to you and glad that the idiot is off the road.

Too bad these kind of sentences dont exist in Canada. Not sure how much time he would have gotten here , but nothing like the 15 years he got.

Do you think he will be obliged to serve the full sentence? most get out way before their sentence is up it seems

As a favour, when you book flights anywhere, could you let us know the details?

If you are a mayor of the City of Kawartha Lakes you get a fine of $500

She didn't leave the scene but it does seem a very small penalty.
