Wish there was more sentencing like that around here, then maybe fewer people would do it.

Couldn't they have sown in something really cool instead of a piece of skin in the shape of a garden trowel (where did they get it from, btw)?

If that was me I'd have gotten them to install something with buttons, a display and some flashing LED lights. You probably could have had your CB radio installed there, it is 2010, you know

Sorry, I know the thread started off serious but this post did make me smile.

Gremmie, hope you're all recovered and that the judge's decision gave you some satisfaction. Stay safe.

I was thinking Wall's Magnum. I'm glad they locked the prick up & I hope you are well on the road to recovery, both physically & psychologically..

Joe.

:rofl: I was thinking more of like a cool instrument panel like the Predator allien things:thumbup: they took the meat from my left leg, from just above my knee to the waist band

Wow, do they really need that much skin to then make a trowel/Magnum sized piece? No really - joking apart - does it shrink or something if it originally came from your knee to your waist?

No they take twice the amount, it took 9 hours to sew all the veins & an artery, that is then moniterd every hour with a doppler scope to unser the blood was flowing. If the first had failed they then try the second piece.

Its a full flap not a graft, the original graft ( taken from right leg) was replaced with this flap

Can I ask, without sounding too gruseome, what happens to the bit of body where the skin has been removed for the graft? Ie: from your knee to your waist? Does it kind of stay fleshy until it grows back new skin.

You're not obliged to answer and I really don't want to sound unmindful of your pain and ordeal but I am interested and curious. Had I been a bit brighter in chemistry and physics I might have got into something medical. I loved biology but hated chemistry and physics.
