I really like Jaffa Cakes. Sometimes I'll eat three or four in one afternoon!

It's comments like that that makes Britain ashamed that you were once British.

My husband really likes Jaffa cakes too! Sometimes he can eat two or three packets in an afternoon!

And my mother once told my husband that if you eat enough Jaffa Cakes, it makes your semen taste different - needless to say he wanted to know if it was true! And no I don't want to know how my mother knew

You've renouced your British citizenship? How do you intend to retire to France if you have no legal status?

Here's where I find out you are German

Yum

So why do I laugh when I hear them state "European style"

There is a fabulous bakery in Brampton, and one closer to me in St Catherines...i'm sure there are others near Guelph too. Someone will come to your rescue,

A good jaffa cake story, brief version.

Last xmas, wife and I had pack, no gifts.
Well, I thought, not going to get caught with that one!

Xmas day - wife opened ny gift to her - diamond necklace!
I opened mine from wife - yes you guessed it! jaffa cakes!

Then I was expected to share!!!

There's a fantastic european supermarket called Santa Barbara Market on Commercial Drive in Vancouver that also sells them:

The apricot ones are really nice, I actually prefer them to jaffa cakes!

They do a whole bunch of other nice stuff too, like blackcurrent juice. Much tarter and stronger than ribena though, but a bit of water and sugar and it tastes around the same. A lot cheaper than imported ribena though.

I love Santa Barbara - do most of my shopping there

My rents just arrived from uk - with a 36 box of jaffas and a big squeezy marmite -- -oooh and a box heroes - they are now long gone . .

Those are the same ones that I found in Food Basics - see my original post in the thread - (it's the 1st one).
