We've had a week of plus temperatures and a mix of bright sunshine and pouring rain. The snow is going fast but you don't get rid of that much snow overnight, particularly when the bottom six inches are solid ice.
A few more days of this should do the trick.
And the maple out front is budding. Based on past experience, that thing can go from bud to full-leaf in about 30 seconds.

Its plus bloody 20 today!!!! Oh the joy. This means my Hosters will likely be mammoth by the time I get home (they werent even waving a sprout at me this morning)

Not weather for Hostas yet here...even those living with Mum...but...I saw a little bright yellow Dandelion flower yesterday, and there is a stirring in the soil where the rhubarb lives!!! Yes, even in the hurling down rain...it's here...Spring is getting ready Adieu to desolation for the next six months

Yesterday and the day before was 22C. Yesterday it cooled down as the evening progressed but the dsy before was warm all evening too. I even got bitten by a bloody mosquito (damn thing was full grown too, no baby mosquitos!!)
