Default issues with calling cards calling HMRC

Hi there

I am using a cici lynk card to call UK to speak with HMRC. I got all the way through the prompts and got connected to a real person- once there she couldn't hear me. I am using a samsung galaxy phone. It makes no sense- it happens on my husbands apple i phone as well.

Does anyone else have issues/resolutions please?

Have you tried Skype? It's worked for me in the past but haven't needed to call them recently - thankfully.
