Another vote for Firefox. Use it on both PC's at home and much better than IE on the work laptop!

I have 64 bit IE and the regular one. The 64 doesnt seem any faster and so many sites have flash on them that won't run on 64 bit.

Which has the best security? FF??

thanks for all the answers!
I personally prefer Chrome. It took a few goes to get used to it but now wouldn't go back at the moment. I use browsers pretty much all day every day and used Firefox for a long time before Chrome.

Chrome does offer a set-up whereby it stores your most visited sites so on start up you can just click on an icon of the page you'd like. You can also set up your history view that is very easily accessible and viewed.

I personally find Chrome to be slightly quicker that Firefox. I also fiind Chrome to be more stable than Firefox mainly due to the fact that Chrome uses 1 process per tab so they all remain individual. I think this individuality between tabs should also offer more security.

The fact that you don't need a separate search engine is also a nice touch since Google search is built into the Chrome address bar.

This is all my own personal opinion of course.

I like the look of chrome. I don't use it cos I doubt there will ever be an ad-blocker for it as ad's are googles bread and butter.

It was more a case of the website recommending Safari as the only supported browser. It's now accessible using Firefox as well.

I get some ads on Google Chrome, but most are avoided probably because I have Ad-Aware and another ad-blocker downloaded.

It all really depends on your browsing habits. If you just have a list of favourite websites (and only access those sites), you've really not got too much to worry about, no matter which browser you use.

However, if you're a "happy clicker", or into seeking "warez" or "pr0n", or if your PC sometimes asks you for money to "fix the problem detected", then you need all the advice and medication you can obtain legally.

I don't think I've had Chrome crash more than twice in 6 months. Firefox crashes more often though I use it less, and Safari has weeks where it crashes every time I use it and others when it works perfectly (I rarely use safari though).

Chrome is my default browser. Firefox was until the add-ons weren't updated as regularly as the browser was and din't work sometimes.

I have a mac and it crashes four or five times a day. It mainly happens on youtube so I wonder if its a problem with the router instead?

I'm a mac fan too, but I had a Safari crash just now.

I tried to open a link which I later learned was specifically designed to work with IE and IE only.

I've fixed it, but no thanks to apple.
