Chrome all the way here too (on kid's XP box, my Vista laptop and Win7 "entertainment system" that I'm writing this message on right now). Even OH has installed it on her Mac thing.
Why? Chrome just works, if I fire up IE on any of the windows boxes it'll take at least twice as long to load. Chrome automatically updates too, with IE there's those weekly mystery patches which often come with the surprise chance that the internet will cease to function until they're uninstalled. Chrome does on-the-fly spell checking too, right now it has underlined the word "uninstalled", the git.

I use firefox. I tried chrome but my computer doesn't seem to like it, and I didn't see anything special about it for my needs, so decided to stick with firefox.

I don't find that too bad, you can set it to open multiple pages in separate tabs when you run the first instance of it (I think we already talked about this but there was some issue about it not working, or something). With new tabs, I just click the tab and have a list of "most visited sites" - big icons on the screen to select from or I just use the bookmars bar.
So two clicks is all it takes; one click on the tab, next click on the bookmark link. It's so easy even my left hand can do it.
Another great feature is the "search google for..." function: just select some interesting text in a webpage then right click and there's an option to search google for hits on that selected text string. The google search results page opens up in a new tab

Would definitely be nice to open a new tab with just one click but it's not enough to turn me off.

As a web developer I counted the days ( many many of them! ) until I no longer had to ensure that every site worked perfectly in IE6! Thankfully that day came and I've never looked back. Even Microsoft pegs IE6 market share at < 10% worldwide and only 2.2% in Canada. Still have to test sites in IE7, IE8 and IE9 (and soon IE10) though

I use both IE and Firefox. IE on work laptop, Firefox at home.

To find it, click on the spanner on the RH side of any page and select Bookmark Manager - it leaves a Bookmarks tab up for you and you can slide it to any position at the top.

I'm so great I actually use all 3.
We use Gmail at work so I have chrome open for email and work applications.
However our CRM system does not work well in Chrome so I run it off Firefox.
And then I use explorer to browse facebook, surf the news and post on here.
By understanding the rules of all 3 systems I am more adaptable to change. Strongest survive and all that............

I know I make a big deal of this but right clicking, opening bookmark managers, and such like count as faffing about. I need it to be one single left click and will accept nothing else. Until such time as chrome has this piece of basic functionality I will consider it to be unusable.

CTRL- left click or wheel button opens a bookmark (from the on-screen bookmark bar) in a new tab; focus is left on the current tab though.
SHIFT+left click opens a bookmark in a new window.
So there you have it, one click of the mouse wheel gets your link in a new tab.
The bookmarks bar isn't visible by default, simply switch it on in Options->Toolbars.
I know you're going to reply <something like> "I don't have a wheel button." or "I want the new tab to automatically go into focus"
