Hi there!
I miss my motorbike which has been left at my Dad's back home. It's a 2001 Honda Blackbird. I'd love to get it shipped over but I've seen on some quite old posts that the bike either has to be older than 15 years, otherwise it has to have been manufactured in N.America. What I would like to know is has anyone addressed this issue before and successfully imported a bike? It seems a little extreme that there is this apparent total ban on bike and cars that don't conform to the rules stated - there must be a conversion/inspection process or something, mustn't there? I'd love to hear from anyone who knows about this kind of thing?
Thanks,
John.

Hi
My husband also had a Honda Blackbird which he bought new in 2002. Unfortunately the rules state that it had to be over 15 so obviously that didn't work out. He sold it and bought another 15 year old Blackbird which he imported. Only with hindsight did we realise that he could have imported his lovely Blackbird as we are here on a TWP. We could have extended this and then the bike would have been over 15 years and no longer an issue. He sorely regrets selling his beloved bike for the broken one he now has in the garage here!
He didn't have to get much done here to get it road legal in Canada. PM me if you would like more details!
