The linked threads all have multiple responses, so it's not like you can determine anything specific that way.

Unless of course this is all inside forum jokes, which new people won't
get right away.

Moving on to content:

Spaghetti - I live in Italy - shake head, move on.
Shopping - when the poster has right beside her name, 'is it time to leave yet ?', I can state without reservation the answer is yes.

Anyone who thinks for a second that Target is some kind of normal shopping experience, well ok never mind, let's move on.

The one thread I really don't like in this forum is the two faced thread.
I read a couple of pages, found it fairly offensive, and now I just stay away from it whenever it comes back.

One thing I found in my travels was that I could settle down a bit more in different places once I learned to stop bitching about different conditions
that weren't going to change because "I" had arrived. I'm just not that high and mighty, nor that important in the world.

I would prefer that particular thread be closed, but it isn't my forum.
However, if slagging off Canadians on this forum seems to be an acceptable thing to do, so acceptable it has it's own thread which is now up to 14 pages,
maybe we could also open up a thread on the shortcomings of UK people, and the UK in general.

After all, fair's fair.
Whats this? pick on Miss C week? I am feeling so unloved Cant believe I am being singled out just because I dont like Target and a lot of the other stores. Silly me, I thought this was a place where we could give our personal thoughts and experiences. ( I note that you dont like target either)

" is it time to leave yet" what could that possible refer to:

1 - The fact that I am always late - ask the friends I have here, they will tell you about the text's they always get from me when they are waiting for me to turn up, saying I am running late.

2 - Is it time to leave this computer and get on with life.

3 - Is it time to leave Canada and start my retirement in France with my darling husband.

4 - Is it time to leave this forum as I am feeling unloved and picked on.

Answers on a post card please............

I think it was just banter MC, I wouldn't read too much into that comment.

Having a couple of years in the UK with my Canadian wife, and soon to be back!

Her biggest complaints were/will be again;

Being always mistaken for American
Nobody knowing much nor caring much about Canada
Being tailgated on the highway
Lack of good peanut butter and Kraft dinner

She married an arrogant Brit with family from Yorkshire, so she assumes correctly that being superior is the norm

I was watching the local "Global" channel news last week and 9 minutes into the hour they were already discussing what kind of yogurt was the best to eat.

What else could Vancouverites possibly be interested in? Granola, perhaps.

Take out the word 'British' and replace with the country you are in, and that would be true for everywhere.

Perhaps it's changed since I left then.

My memory of even Sky News was that it was far more international than all but CBC News over here.

Not necessarily. On the BBC News I find that whatever is the main story of the day, tends to get about 20 minutes coverage, and then all the rest of news seems to be shoe-horned in over 10-15 minutes.

Sky News seems to a bit more evenly distributed, and possibly more international.

The thing about about Canada, we [the UK] all know where it is, its the same with New Zealand, its just not as interesting.

It promises more than it delivers. Family friendly board.

Didn’t a bunch of you trouble makers go to that board once and wound up them up about Canadian culinary wonderments like honey-mustard salad dressing and such?

If we haven't, then we should.
