almost everyone lives in a high rise in downtown Vancouver. Unless you are oneof the homeless and live in a cardboard box.

As we are on the subject of Vancouver, I have three questions for the locals.

1) Decent restaurant within easy walking distance of the Four Seasons?
2) Nearest offy to said hotel (not paying hotel prices, if I can avoid it) and what time does it shut?
3) End October weather?

For those of us that don't know, can somebody post some pics of this Maple Ridge so that we can compare, and then tell Alan if he's made a terrible mistake or not?

That's a nice creek, I remember you mentioned it before. The good thing about having your own creek is that you can kiss goodbye to sewage and garbage disposal fees.

That looks like a fish bearing stream. Best to give fisheries a call Does it flood?

You should watch out for bear, pretty determined little buggers http://www.aviationprofessionals.org/2009/10/bear-attack-duct-tape-wins-again.html

Don't leave your groceries (or garbage) where a bear can smell them!

Le Crocodille is two blocks NW and 3 blocks SW. The 4 Seasons is not bad either. No walking there.

As for bars, Granville Street is full of them, good, bad and ugly. Or if you want the water, stroll down to Cardero's.

Bring a rain coat, an umbrella and a jumper.
