Money can't buy happiness, but it certainly buys a better level of misery.

I think I'd do the same as some others on here, and have several bases.
I don't think one of them would be in Alberta however - Van Island, with my own private plane/pilot/boat would be high on the list.
You gotta be in it to win it though, right?

I'd give $90 million to charity and friends and family and keep $10 million for myself.

The idea of travelling a lot appeals but my kids are still at school, so I'd still need a permanent base somewhere. I'd still move to Canada but I wouldn't be so focused on choosing a place to work with good career prospects. Or maybe I'd consider California instead - I guess any country would be happy to accept you, if you had all that cash to invest.
And I'd but a property over here in the lakes and expensive apartments in London, New York and anywhere I fancied living. Then I'd focus on trying to finish writing this bloody novel, instead of worrying about making cash to live on.

....If I had that kind of money I'd get someone really good, like say, Jeffrey Archer to ghost write it for me and then just stick my name on it.

Well
Firstly I would buy a couple of homes in Canada, Invest some wisely in other properties or bonds. Make sure my nearest and dearest are financially secure. Live off the interest. I would buy a couple of Horses...just for fun.
I would try to do a lot for some causes close to my heart, like a couple of schools and fresh water holes in a couple of deprived areas in Africa. Sponsor some children, seek out and pay anonymously for some life saving / changing operations for some people
Some to Cancer research, some to local childrens charities.
I kinda guess that I would get enormous satisfaction from all of the above, but it would in the bulk be done anonymously....so that I remain to be treated as a normal human being...whatever that may be!
Just Stef....dreaming of a better life for many.
lol

The main down side to this plan
I think the Lottery is a tax on the gullible
