Yeah; they even managed to make curling look exciting. Quite an achievement.

Re: I love the Olympics because...
because....the atmosphere at Pacific Coliseum tonight was awesome!
I even allowed myself to be patriotic and waved my union jack flag for the British couples. The volume when the Canadians Virtue and Moir overtook Davis and White was phenomenal - I felt a surge of Canadian pride for the first time :) Once-in-a-lifetime experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it  |

I don't know what will happen when the games are in England but I suspect that the coverage won't quite be to the near exclusion of non 'home' athletes as I've seen over the last couple of days.
BBC has consistently interviewed the winners of events at past games no matter where from in addition to Brits and has also had foreign ex athletes as members of their commentary/analysis teams. Obviously coverage is rightly geared to the home viewing audience but I've not seen it quite like it's been here so far. Maybe I've missed the interviews with all the winners  Perhaps now that Canada has the elusive first gold medal on home soil () coverage may be a little more inclusive. |

Pity the Canadian in the final fell over (again). Do you think they're all smoking too much BC bud?

Could not believe some of it. Am sure the Canadian / ex-American will be tested ;) to prove a point - heard (in commentary) he fell in a ravine once, after a little too much juice but on the straight now. |

Made a big deal of his 'Bad boy made good' before the finals which exasperated me. However, did feel for him when he fell as he was going for silver rather than settling for bronze. True sportsmanship. |

True sportsmanship. I (sucker for a good story) really wanted him to win it, but then my support is always GB, Canada & Finland. back to womens ski cross now - though keeping an eye on curling BBCi - god love it:) |
