you forget I live in redneck central - I think the human league would be a little bit avant garde even now for some of the family and friends round these 'ere parts

Blimey, just googled them and can't believe they are still going and look the same 30 years on! Brings back memories albeit blurry ones.
First concert I ever went to was OMD at the Cornwall Coliseum in 1982, see they are also still going strong and play Vancouver this Fall. Feeling really old now.
