We broke 26 records in BC today for the hottest July 2nd on record.

Lillooet was 39.4

One place broke a heat record with 17.4, some place called Rose Spit.

It was right, I checked it with the one in the phone.

When I got to work there was already a car in the best spot, "what you doing here so early?" I asked the owner. He explained that he'd stayed at a relative's house overnight and "they keep the windows open, I hadn't brought a coat so I shivered until it got light and came to work". Yesterday someone told me that she'd been to a barbecue this week and worn her winter coat.

This is a Canadian heatwave.

It'll probably hit 35 or 36 in Oliver today, maybe a bit warmer. It's 33 already at noon.

32C for the high today for my thermometer.

Spent about 2 hours outside today, drank a boatload of water, and still felt ill. I cannot wait for more normal temps again.....come on cooler weather...

My thermometer has a high today of 35 currently say 34.

Current official temp is 34, I'd venture some parts of the district say 35/36, it felt really warm in some places.

33 officially still, mine says the same. A/C has the inside at 21 degrees.

There is a lot of smoke in the air as well, making my eyes burn and turn red, blech.

Metro Vancouver has a air quality warning from the smoke, depending on area anywhere from a 9 to 10+ both of which are high risk and best to keep indoors and limit outdoor activity.

Tomorrow should be better with an 8.
