Of course that would be the best, but I'm out of work for the duration.

All the matches are being shown live in France on BEIN Sports2, a channel which I happen to have on my "bouquet".

The matches are mostly at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm local time. I probably won't be posting very often for a while.

Bulgaria made the semi final in 94 (I remember that bit) after beating Germany in the quarters (didn't remember that bit) and losing to Italy in the semi (didn't remember that bit either).

I try not to remember the Graham Taylor years but some bits stick unfortunately.

Fair enough, but what I watched was a group match. I'm a cheapskate.

You're not the cheapskate you imagined. No ET or penalties in a group match. Round of 16

Which Toronto is it that you interact with? Argos? Are you Rob Ford or part of Rob Ford Nation. I thought that Argos interest was beneath the Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors and maybe just above TFC.

I lived in Toronto from 1981-1994 and don't recall Argos having much of a following amongst my circle. Admittedly few multi generational Canadians in that circle.

I think you'll find that the Euros attract quite a following. There will be bandwagon jumpers, countless thousands of people will be part time Italians, Irish, German fans at pubs and vacant lots will be selling flags for the car or windows.

The Euros is basically the World Cup minus Argentina/Brazil and maybe Mexico and maybe the strongest African team.

Funny isn't it.

WC1998 - just the 2 South American teams in the last 8
WC02 - only 2 made the last 16 (Argentina already out and Paraguay followed)
WC06 - just the 2 in the last 8 again and zero in the semis
WC10 - only 1 made the semis and they lost
WC14 - slightly better this time with 3 in the QFs but then Brazil suffered their 7-1 embarrassment and Argentina lost the final.

Quite a poor showing from a continent allowed at least half their teams entry, and it would be worse but for Brazil and Argentina.

And yet FIFA have somehow contrived to have FIVE different South American teams in their top 9 and Ecuador at 13
(and, it must be said, Austria at 10)

For all the faults in FIFA's ranking system, it has generally been only one or two teams whose position one might question. But five South American teams and Austria in the top 10?

Lol I just guessed whatever teams were playing and in season at this time :@)

I know rec is not ideal, I also like to watch live but the chances of someone saying outloud how bad England was is remote

Ha! Today I was with a colleague in a coffee shop and there was iced hockey on the TV, neither of us realized that last winter's season hasn't ended yet. No one in the office speaks of American football, iced hockey is mentioned sometimes while the Leafs are playing but, come the play offs, it's long been forgotten.

I should be able to manage the 6am one at home and then watch the other two at work. I won't be going to the pub as the last time I went to see England play a colleague of mine jumped up from his bar stool when England scored and fell over and broke his collarbone. It ruined the match for me.

Rogers in Ottawa don't offer coverage, only TSN do and how do you get it from them.
Anyone signed up with TSN out there ?

Try "FILM ON" app and watch online with UK commentators. BBC1 had coverage of the Wales game and is showing England next
