It's the spelling British Rail once used for the signs at Bedford station, but I like your interpretation better

Not sure on that one as I was born and grew up in England, but my dad is Italian so I also identify with being Italian too. Maybe British Italian then, lived in Denmark for while, have traveled extensively and now ended up In Canada.

It's very intriguing to see that many people on here have been to a lot of different places around the world before moving to Canada. It makes me feel better about Canada being a place where expats feel most comfortable for various reasons.

Yes ive noticed that too...not many people seemed to have lived in the UK most of their lives and then came to live in Canada. I suppose by the time some people came to live in Canada it was ah yes Canada....its just another country, ive done it before and i can do it again.

I am the only one in my entire family thats ever lived in another country, and i came straight from the UK at the age of 39.

When i was younger I never thought i would do such a thing....thought i was in ole Blighty for life, i used to hear about people emmigrating, and used to think wow!! how can they do that! And then i did it! quite sureal really....still is!

Scottish, then Germany, Channel Islands, Netherlands then Canada. A few more years in Canada then we may see where takes our fancy.

I guess that makes two of us. I wasn't planning on revealing my country either when I started this thread. I planned to do it within the next month or so but decided that there's no harm in doing it early since I'm not the only BE poster from this tiny country, like I had previously thought.

I think i'm one of two from mine. I thought I was the only one til a few days ago I met a poster on MBTTUK who has a father born in Malta.

And I was being sarcastic in my comment btw ;) I think by my avatar, profile and posts it is easy to figure it out

You can continue fooling yourself if it suits your purpose, but you're still British. I assume you used your BRITISH Passport to access Canada and brought BRITISH Sterling currency with you.

Actually, leith is absolutely correct - he is not British. He is from the United Kingdom and from Great Britain, but he is not British.

Great Britain is made up of Scotland, England and Wales, where as Britain is just England and Wales.

Are Britain, Great Britain and the UK the same country?

He would have used a UK passport, lol.

:)
