Re: How many people here are actually British?
I am from the US, born and raised in So. California (not the LA part, further south..)
On my mom's side someone along the line someone was likely British, but I lost patience at the family tree stuff after going back to late 1700's and my mom's family still in the US, but she has no native, some her family came over from somewhere in Europe. My dad's side is a mix of European and native north american. My ex-wife was first generation Canadian from Scottish ancestors, and my current GF is first generation from Austrian/Swiss parents, some how I keep finding my way with 1st generation Canadians....lol |

Started off in Geordieland (AKA UK) then USA, then Canada, then Germany, then Canada again and now living in France (for the summer, full time-ish from next year). The OH could add Tanzania and France to the front end of that list. |

Re: How many people here are actually British?
Born in Canada. Obtained Portuguese citizenship in 2008 after deciding to move to the UK - Mom was born in the Azores. Lived in the UK for 5.5 years and got my UK citizenship during that time. Moved back to Canada last year.
Husband is a dual citizen, UK and USA (his mum is American, moved to the UK in her 20s, has been there for 40-odd years, only just got her citizenship last year!). He moved to Canada last year - my fault. :P There were 15-16 people at the last meetup in Toronto... I was the only Canadian. :P (Well, the only one with a Canadian accent, anyway!) |
