I don't think I'm reeling in your years.

Hey, you're a fan of Robert Zimmerman, have you heard his radio show?

I take that as a "no" so here's a plug for it. Bob Dylan has a show on the radio in which he takes a theme, "Mothers", for example, or "Madness" and plays records related to it while recounting anecdotes about the songs "as Patsy Cline recorded Crazy, Otis Redding sat there, he didn't play nothing, he was just hanging out". Mr. Dylan has plainly done a lot of drugs but he knows his records, who knew that the expression "mother****er" was used in blues songs from the twenties? He's like a wheezier Charlie Gillett. And he plays Prince Buster. It's an odd turn for an iconic singer to present a radio show but it is, I think, hugely interesting.

You are so impatient, I was out with Geordie getting soaked.

I hadn't heard of this. Is it on an easily available medium?

Oh you urbanites, in the country the dog exercises himself. I don't see streaming for Dylan, I think you have to buy a SiriusXM subscription. I catch it on this channel: http://www.sirius.com/thespectrum

Likely why you're living on stolen time. Geordie likes taking me for a walk. It inculcates a sense of responsibility which is very healthy for a dog of his aristocratic background.

I'll wait for the re-runs.

Sorry to be slow in response, but TVO was showing a rather good production of Little Dorritt, which is an English thing by some pamphleteer or other.

There is indeed a touch of the whippet, adds to the charm, don't you know?

Things are not looking too good for Sirius in the US...not sure about Canada. I believe in the US, they are in danger of declaring bankruptcy....

Oh bugger - how am I going to get my Radio 1 fix if they go to the wall?

(I rarely listen to all that other newsy, sporty, classical, jazzy, Elvisy stuff on there - too much choice really ! )
