Hi all - am looking for some assistance here !
Off to Victoria this weekend for various things and am looking at hotels on Hotels.com and all seem much of a muchness . . . . .
we will have the car - but it will be put in parking while we are there, I need to be at The Bay Centre on Sunday Morning . . so something near the water would be nice -but Empress is a bit iffy ..The other weekend I stayed at the Best Western Carlton on Johnson - but it was a bit noisy . .
any suggestions or ones to avoid ??
Thanks

Why is the Empress iffy? We stayed there last September and enjoyed it.

would you consider a B&B?
We stayed in a nice one - victorian heritage home, pet friendly, had a massive bedroom & bathroom and right downtown. Can't remember name offhand but if you google pet friendly b&b you should find it - there aren't a lot

Stayed at the Delta this time last year - wasn't bad plus they have had a big reno since then. Watch out for BC residents rates and their websaver rates. The Club Level rooms have the continental brekky and evening hors d'oeuvres which saves a bit of you can get a good rate.

I have no personal experience of these hotels, but have friends who have:
Magnolia Hotel on Courtney St is down town close to The Bay Centre.
Royal Scot on Quebec St. near Inner Harbour parking costs $12 daily.
Hotel Grand Pacific on Belleville St.
Embassy Inn on Menzies St., free parking
Oswego Hotel on Oswego St.
All are easy walking distance to Inner Harbour and down town.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your stay.
